Kitty Kraus – Untitled, Lamp, ice, ink. 2006. Saw a realisation of this piece at the Boros collection last year. Most impressive.
One of my favourite digital magazine of late. Beautifully curated.
Camouflage patterns rendered with MacPain patterns, by Sulki & Min.
Impressive editorial work by Adriaan Mellegers.
One of the very few good digital magazines that deserve this description. Reformat is a publication established by Kim Andre Ottesen, dissecting the relationship between print design and web design. Kim discusses reasonable approaches to transfer high quality standards from print to web – and interactive principles from web to print, creating a contemporary perspective on the subject matter. Contains interviews with Lundgren+Lindqvist and Heydays. That said, Reformat is one of the most beautiful websites I’ve seen in quite some time.
Untitled, a striking series by photographer Nicolas Poillot. On display in Amsterdam. Via 01 Magazine.
I’m very fond of the visual identity for Hustle & Cuss by Family – combining fragility and boldness, with type running in a straightforward grid. Beautiful work.
Damir Doma, Lookbook Fall/Winter 2012. Once again, I am blown away by the fact that Mister Doma simply refuses to do anything wrong. Another season, another perfectly coherent evolution, his signature style seamlessly incorporating functional, even technical influences. I cannot wait for the full show on saturday.
Edit: This is the SILENT lookbook, of course. Damir Doma’s mainline show will not be unveiled before saturday, of course.
Half a year ago, I quit my agency job and founded We Are Fellows, my own design studio. We have been heads-down working for half a year, and today we finally launched our website – wearefellows.com. We like to share all parts of our design process, so we document everything we do – including bad ideas, failed layout attempts, client meetings and happy accidents. You’re kindly invited to check out our portfolio. We got some love from FormFiftyFive, Design made in Germany and some other publications, which makes us smile. If you like, follow our updates on Facebook or Twitter.
