I watched Oldboy yesterday (here’s the trailer). Quite an experience to say the least! The whole film is a combination of many aesthetical styles and themes, including horror references, classic eastern elements, a 2D scrolling beat ‘em up computer game and – at some point – a live squid being eaten in whole. It wrecks your nerves, but in a good, disturbing way. Hey, this is fun. I...

Somebody still missed it? Alright: Last.fm ist offering free full-length song previews. You can listen to every song three times before you get prompted to join a subscription service which will allow you to listen to any song any time as often as you want. While that’s certainly great news and a fair deal, a subscription would make little to no sense to me at this point of time. Simply...

Last.fm just informed me that I’d like Controller.Controller and it was right. Nice new wave touch, good vocals, solid band. Nothing really new, but still some great songs to spend the evening to. There are some free songs up for download on their website. If you like Miyagi, go check them out. Damn, I’m still addicted to offbeat hi-hats. Tchk, tchk, tchk. No reason to fight it.

Another small thing on ByteFM: I’ve really been enjoying their program every now and then since they went live a couple of weeks ago. So I hacked up a little bookmarklet to access their webradio player without visiting their site. If you want to use it, just drag this link to your browser’s bookmarks bar: → Launch ByteFM Player Update: I figured out the Javascript problem Tumblr...

Taschen, manufacturers of finest coffeetable books, are throwing this years Warehouse Sale for three days only at every Taschen store in the world. They’re selling slightly damaged books for 50-75% off. Sadly, I’ve no chance to get to cologne this weekend, so I’ll have to continue to live without some of their nicer titles.
