Art interview with Stefan Sagmeister →
Sagmeister on german design students and else. Got to read this later. This was published in art magazine (not arte as somebody once called it, harr).

I might be late, but the These New Puritans record is the best thing since Tromatic Reflexxions by Von Südenfed. More italics, anyone?
The Firefox 3 Beta is as awesome as advertised. Lots of smart new features, the rendering is beautiful and it – finally – has a decent ui that matches OS X nicely. I’m seriously thinking about abandoning my beloved Safari now. Well some more testing should tell the truth. What’s the point? Get the beta. Seriously, it’s worth all of its one minute download time.
Writing an exam thesis is like building the Death Star. Without knowing where...

Smakelijk (and free!) Helvetica derivates from Autobahn Fonts. Love it.
How Google got its colorful logo →
Interesting walkthrough of the design process. I still think that Google’s logotype is one of the least appealing logos of any major tech company. The only cool thing about it is the way it stretches along the “o” to match the amount of search result pages.
Typesites →
Blog that reviews typographically well designed web sites. Besides, they got a nice design on their own.
By the way: Lebenslaufföhnen → todays experiences. Fiene seems to be right.
To make your sunny sunday perfect, check out Miyagis latest hit A Bad Penny (a.k.a. Money on my Knee) on their Myspace Page. It’s a fucking smash hit! Howdy-ho!
Design can make you Happy →
As we’re talking about him – here’s Stefan Sagmeisters brillant TED talk one more time. Great stuff to watch for inspiration on a sunny sunday.
Looks like the Adam Kesher album is finally coming up! There’s a preview song up on the Space. Can’t wait, can’t wait.
If You Can’t Let Go, Twitter →
Interesting article on using Twitter for selfpromotional purposes.
And now, one of my favourite movie posters of all time. Also one of my favourite movies, by the way. Thanks to Fireabend for reminding me.
This Moment in Black History →
My soundtrack for tonight. They’ve got a nice garage vibe going on that reminds me a bit of my favourite band, all time. Check out Pity the Black Seat.
Hello Muller →
Beautiful work by Tom Muller. Some work has a great retro flair to it.
1000robota →
I feel like pushing Virb a bit again. I love it to death, but it’s still lacking serious buzz. At least some bands start to recognize that it’s a better platform than Myspace ever will be. So here’s some beautiful trash wave from Hamburg and Berlin. Watch out for the young guys of 1000robota! I like their punky wave style quite a lot. And they’re on Tapete, too.
Hartford Courant →
That’s one awesome newspaper design. Very bold, very elegant.

One last music note for today: The Tiger Baby Remix of The Fashions smash hit Like Knives is officially the single best dancefloor track I’ve heard since last summer. This goes straight to the next ten compilations I’m doing. You can listen to it on the Myspace Hype Machine.
David Lanham has been one of my favourite icon wizards and illustrators for years. Although his famous Soma iconset has always been too colourful for my liking, I kept in on my harddisk – just because i just love to look at his cute characters. David twittered today that he’s working on a Zog vinyl toy (yep, that’s that purple dude up there). I need him on my desk!
Oh, and there are...
Just recieved the Trip Fontaine album and listened to a couple of tracks. I like what I hear so far – ultra hectic dancepunk and screaming boys. Sounds perfect for a friday night. Some might talk “rip off”, some might talk “Robocop Kraus”, some scream “Blood Brothers”, I don’t care. Sometimes we all just need more of the same. Oh well. I do, at least....

fireabend is wrong on this one. I didn’t know them yet. Got to love them, though, as the Gang of Four fan i am. but then again, i’m not excactly a cool kid. Anyway, who’s coming with fellow tumblers Sarah, Kriesse and me to their gig at Amp on the 27th? Raise your hands, not so cool kids!
Sketching some logotype ideas for Miyagi. Nothing final, nothing set. But I like this one so far (™ for fun purposes only).
